Furniture

Hound Hill Design special orders all custom made furniture, therefore, these items may not be returned for any reason.  If you receive damaged furniture, please refer to our Damaged Merchandise section.

Decorative Accessories

Since Hound Hill Design is a small specialized shop, we accept returns of decorative accessories for exchange or store credit only.  Items should be packed in the original box and packing material, must be in the original condition and returned to Hound Hill Design prepaid and insured.  Shipping is non-refundable and no C.O.D. returns will be accepted.  Damaged returns will not be honored.  Please contact us to let us know that you plan to return a purchase prior to sending it to obtain a Return Authorization from Hound Hill Design.  We will provide you with shipping directions and a Return Authorization number.  After the item is received by Hound Hill Design, we will issue you a store credit for you to use towards your next purchase.  Store credits are valid for one year only from date of issue.  Exchanges are considered a final sale.

Damaged Merchandise

All merchandise at Hound Hill Design is inspected and shipped damage free to our customers.  If merchandise arrives damaged, it is the customer’s responsibility to notify the carrier and Hound Hill Design within 48 hours of receipt.  A claim for damaged merchandise must be made with the shipper and picked up and inspected by the shipper before Hound Hill Design will send a replacement or issue a refund.   Merchandise must be in the original packaging so that the shipper can inspect the merchandise for an insurance evaluation.  Once Hound Hill Design receives notification from the shipper that an evaluation has been performed, we will immediately replace the merchandise (provided a replacement is available) or issue a full refund.  If for any reason a customer does not allow the carrier to pick up the damaged merchandise, this will prevent a claim from being issued and therefore the customer will not be eligible for receiving replacement merchandise or a refund from Hound Hill Design.  This also applies to customers that do not respond to the carrier’s telephone calls in a timely manner to arrange pick up and evaluation of damaged merchandise.  If the carrier makes three attempts to inspect the damaged merchandise, and the customer does not comply, Hound Hill Design cannot replace merchandise or issue a refund.

Order Cancellation

Because our goal is to provide excellent customer service, we try our best to ship out stocked orders immediately.  Therefore, we can honor a customer’s cancellation request provided that the merchandise has not yet shipped from Hound Hill Design.  If your merchandise has already shipped, your cancellation request will be handled as a return and you can refer to our Return Policy section.  The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping the item back to Hound Hill Design and will receive store credit.

Custom merchandise made to order can usually be cancelled within 24 hours of order receipt.  However, if the order is already in process, we cannot accept the cancellation.  Please call us for advice if you have any questions or concerns about a custom order before placing an order with us.

Delivery Time

Most of our items are stocked in our store, and ship out immediately. If an item is out of stock, we will advise you of the delivery time.  Upholstered furniture are considered custom orders and the lead time is approximately 8-10 weeks from receipt of fabric.  Please call us if you need large quantities of an item and have a specific deadline to meet.  Every attempt will be made ship out your order as quickly as possible.
