About us

Hound Hill Design was created as an interior design business by its present owner
Nancy-Margarit Toon.  After fifteen years of working in the interior design field in
New York City and the Hamptons, and finally at Ralph Lauren, she opened her own
store specializing in home furnishings, decorative accessories, and incorporating
an interior design service. 

The daughter of an American Ambassador, Nancy grew up in fourteen countries.
Her interest in architecture and design was heightened by her exposure to the
splendors of Rome, London, Moscow, and St. Petersburg.  Her father's high rank
gave her access to magnificent private residences, where she honed her keen
eye for refinement and cachet.

Nancy's style and sophistication, enhanced by years of experience, culminate
in an unerring eye for beautiful objects and the art of displaying them with a
unique flair.  Her multicultural influences are reflected in the collections displayed
at Hound Hill Design.

The store is nestled in the middle of the Hamptons on the eastern tip of
Long Island, known for its long stretches of white beaches and elegant
country living.
